Welcome back to The Circle! As we approach the end of the academic year, it’s always a joy to reflect on how much our community continues to grow and go from strength to strength. I have been doing lots of tours for prospective parents recently and they often tell me that they have heard about the school from our current parents that speak so highly of it. This means the world to us and I want to thank you for your support in making the school as special as it is. Keep spreading the word and have a great weekend when it arrives. Best wishes, Andi and Sarah

Our Values in Action:

Rec: Joy

This week, the Reception class enjoyed an enchanting excursion to the Discovery Story Centre in Stratford. The children were fully immersed in a magical storytelling experience, sparking their imaginations and bringing stories to life in delightful and unexpected ways.

Year 1: Joy

This week Sky Brown children were most excited about our trip to the Discover Story Centre in Stratford. They showed so much joy exploring this magical space and just spending time with each other. We then immersed ourselves in the world of the stories as we built our story together and then retold it with actions. On the way back the children were buzzing with excitement as they shared their favourite moments from the morning.

Year 2: Responsibility

Parton class demonstrated exceptional responsibility during our trip to the library this week. They walked there sensibly, partnered well with each other, listened attentively to the library staff, used the facilities responsibly, handled the books with care, and showed patience while waiting for their books to be scanned. Their enthusiasm for the summer reading challenge is really showing, and I can't wait to hear about all the different books they read!

Summer celebration:

We’ve had another very successful year in hosting our annual summer fair! Thank you to the parents and staff for making a memorable event for the children, even with the rain! We've raised an impressive £1135, our highest amount yet, and we're aiming for even more next year!

Our children performed in a ballet show at Hackney Empire!

We are so proud of our pupils, Mara (Y1), Sienna (Y1), Saorsie (Y1) and Sadie (YR) who took part in the ballet, The Princess and the Frog, at Hackney Empire last Sunday! They performed as part of the Ballet Black Junior School.

They were so excited to tell their teachers how it felt to perform on a real stage and in front of a live audience. They did brilliantly and represented School 360 very well.

Thank you to the parents for letting us know! Please remember to email us with any achievements you would like us to share.

Survey:

Calling all parents! Please take this quick survey regarding after school classes for next year. Your input will help the volunteers in the Community Panel's Extracurricular Group, as they look at expanding the after school options for the children. Thank you! Please click on this link to take the survey.

Parking at the school gates

Unfortunately, we do not offer parking at School 360. As a result those needing to drive are required to park on a nearby road and walk up. There are only restrictions on neighbouring roads between 10am and 12 on most days. There are disability spaces available at the office entrance of the school for anyone that needs it.

It is important to the safety of our children that you do not park in front of the school gates. Drivers are also at risk of receiving a parking ticket.

Important Health and Safety changes to breakfast club from Monday 1st July.

Our new system for bikes has been working really well so far, thank you for your cooperation! Below is a reminder of what to do if you are bringing a bike to breakfast club:

If you arrive before 8am, your child will be asked to wheel their bike or scooter into the Community Room. These will then be moved to the playground bike shelter at 8.45am when children go to class. If you arrive after 8am, please leave your children at breakfast club and Charmaine will then let parents into the school building to put bikes and scooters into the playground. If you have a bike lock, you are also welcome to leave bikes locked outside the front of the school for the day, hence avoiding the need to drop bikes off or pick them up from the playground. If there is a need for more bike locks in this location, we will try to arrange this. Thanks for your understanding with this matter! This should keep the school entrance clear and safe for you and your children.

Breakfast Club and After School club

Link to pay for breakfast club and the school trip:

We will be moving our Student Management Information System (MIS) to Arbor in September 2024 and we are no longer using Reach More Parents (WEDUC) to take online payments for trips and the breakfast club. Please use this link to purchase breakfast club places and for trip payments.

Breakfast club opens from 7:50am Children need to arrive before 8.30 to join the breakfast club. If parents arrive at 8.30 or later they will be asked to wait at the main gate until 8.40, because the breakfast club is closed and children are already being taken to their various classes. If a child arrives a few minutes before the club closes, they can still eat breakfast in the classroom as we would never want a child to go without breakfast. It’s the case for all parents that if they let a member of staff know in the morning that their child hasn’t eaten breakfast, they will always be offered and encouraged to eat something as this is best for their wellbeing and learning.

We will be asking for a contribution of £2 per day. We can offer a discount for siblings and this cost does not affect families eligible for Free School Meals. If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please contact the School office and we will do our best to help. Thanks for your understanding.

After School club
