Welcome back to The Circle! The final term is always the busiest, so please make sure you are checking the diary dates in the newsletter! A copy is also on the board outside the gate so you can have a look at drop off or pick up. If you know of anyone that can donate a raffle prize for our Summer Celebration on Friday 5th July, please let Fahmida in the office know. Also, if you have a prize you would like to donate, please take it to the office! Have a great weekend when it arrives. Best wishes, Andi and Sarah
Our Values in Action:
Rec: Joy
This week, the children in reception have been making great use of the warmer weather by exploring the outdoor area and engaging in some fantastic activities. They have been creating wonderful masterpieces in the mud kitchen and developing their gross motor skills on our mini high beam.
Year 1 – Kindness
This week Sky Brown class has been really focusing on showing kindness to one another and to the new grown ups in the room as we are all adjusting to our new reality. Our kindness detective has been amazing at spotting bigger and smaller acts of kindness and giving extra recognition to her peers. All children have been very supportive and they have been filling the classroom not only with kindness but also with so much joy and courage!
Year 2 – Kindness
We have started a new book in our whole-class reading sessions, and the children have expressed concern for one of the characters who is left alone on an island from early morning until after dark while their father goes to work. To address this, the Parton class have been collaborating to invent games and present oral instructions. Their aim is to create videos of their ideas to send to the boy in our book, ensuring he has activities to keep him entertained and less lonely during his time alone.

Sports Day!
We are excited to give you some more information about our Sports Day 2024! This year it will be taking place at Three Mills Green on Friday 12th July (weather permitting). The event will start at 9.30am and finish at 11.30am. All are welcome to attend!
Few points to note:-
- There will be no seating at the event. Please bring a camping chair, stool or blanket if you would like to sit. You will be moving around a circuit, following your child.
- If it is raining, we will try and rearrange for the hall. We will make the decision the day before.
- Please drop off your child at the normal time, dressed in their PE kit. Please make sure they have a water bottle and are dressed for the weather e.g. sun hat, sunscreen.
- You will then be asked to meet us at Three Mills Green if you are attending. The event finishes at 11.30 and the children will be walking back to school promptly to have their lunch.
Attendance Matters – every day counts
This week the average whole school attendance went down to 93.88% and our target is 97%. The class with the highest attendance this week was Zephaniah class, well done! Thank you for your efforts in making sure your children are here on time every day. If you ever need support with this – please let us know. You can email the office or speak to your child’s class teacher.
