Welcome back to The Circle! As the half term comes to a close, it’s great to reflect on all the moments of joyful collaboration the children have experienced. This was really clear to see this week during the exhibitions, where the children were able to share their beautiful work with their families and community. It was also great to see the Year 2 children sharing their stories with the Reception children and being excellent role models. We look forward to even more opportunities like this when we return after the half term break. See you back on Monday 24th February! Best wishes, Andi and team
Reception -Joy
Our recent Parent Maker Workshop was a huge hit! Children loved sharing their unique creations and enjoyed the special opportunity to build and create alongside the adults from home.

Year 1- Joy
As the half term draws to an end the children are so excited about finishing off their London Landmarks to send to Josh in Dubai. Creating London landmarks out of cardboard and junk modelling has brought the children so much joy! It's amazing how simple materials can come together to form ionic structures like the Tower Bridge or The Gherkin. The process feels like a fun, creative puzzle, and there's a real sense of accomplishment as these buildings start to take shape. It's a wonderful reminder that even the most everyday items can spark creativity and bring a little piece of joy into the world. All in time for the Exhibition!

Year 2 – Courage & Joy
This week the children have worked so hard creating their stories. They have been working on editing their stories, animating their characters and making front covers. They then showed courage by reading their stories to each other and also to the other year groups.

Year 3 – Joy & Curiosity
This week Year 3 were filled with joy and curiosity as they re-explored the art of weaving with our visiting local artist. From selecting colourful wool to carefully crafting their designs, the children embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and creativity.

Community Corner:
Cambridge Half-Marathon!
Maddy is running the Cambridge Half Marathon in just a few weeks to raise money for Mind, a charity that is incredibly close to her heart. After being so overwhelmed by the support she received during last year's run, it truly helped her push through, and she's hoping for that same encouragement this year. If you could kindly support her once again, it would mean the world to her!
A message from Maddy:
“Hi there! I’m running The Cambridge Half Marathon on Sunday, March 9th, for the charity Mind. I’m running for Mind because of the incredible support they provide to those struggling with mental health. They do vital work, offering resources and care that can make a real difference. Having lost loved ones to mental health challenges, I want to honor their memory and raise awareness to help prevent others from experiencing the same. Any donation would mean the world to me and truly help me get to the finish line.”Giving Page

Breakfast Club and After School club
Link to pay for breakfast club and the school trip:
We will be moving our Student Management Information System (MIS) to Arbor in September 2024 and we are no longer using Reach More Parents (WEDUC) to take online payments for trips and the breakfast club. Please use this link to purchase breakfast club places and for trip payments.
Breakfast club opens from 7:50am Children need to arrive before 8.30 to join the breakfast club. If parents arrive at 8.30 or later they will be asked to wait at the main gate until 8.40, because the breakfast club is closed and children are already being taken to their various classes. If a child arrives a few minutes before the club closes, they can still eat breakfast in the classroom as we would never want a child to go without breakfast. It’s the case for all parents that if they let a member of staff know in the morning that their child hasn’t eaten breakfast, they will always be offered and encouraged to eat something as this is best for their wellbeing and learning.
We will be asking for a contribution of £2 per day. We can offer a discount for siblings and this cost does not affect families eligible for Free School Meals. If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please contact the School office and we will do our best to help. Thanks for your understanding.
